Infrared thermal imaging is to detect the infrared characteristic signal generated by the thermal radiation of the gas, and convert the signal into images and graphics that can be distinguished by human vision. Through the use of filters, the identification of specific gases can be realized. According to the different mechanism, it can be divided into active imaging and passive imaging. Among them, the active imaging performs imaging by absorbing the radiation of the light source, and the signal-to-noise ratio and detection sensitivity are high. The disadvantage is that the volume is large, the safety is poor, at the same time by the limitation of the radiation source, the type of detection gas is less, and the signal decreases rapidly with the distance. Passive imaging is imaging by absorbing background radiation, with long detection distance, wide detection spectrum, many kinds of gas detection, simple system structure, which can effectively make up for the shortcomings of active imaging, and has become a hot research topic at home and abroad. However, passive imaging requires a relative temperature difference between the measured gas and the background, and requires high technical requirements for optical structures, optical key devices and image processing.
